Zelensky warns that the Russian army may use chemical weapons

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the Russian army could use chemical weapons in Ukraine and urged the West to impose stronger sanctions on Moscow.

He said, "I would like to remind world leaders that the Russian military's possible use of chemical weapons has already been discussed. And already at that time, it meant that it was necessary to react to the Russian aggression much harsher and faster."

As there is unconfirmed news that chemical weapons have been used in Mariupol, Petri Andryushchenko wrote on his Telegram channel that the chemical attacks have not been confirmed. He is expected to provide some more details and clarifications later.

Zelensky said that "we treat this with utmost care."
