To expand the scope of digital banking in rural areas

The Modi government has made important announcements in the Union Budget to expand the reach of digital banking, fintech and digital transactions in every corner of the country in the near future. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed about this during her budget reading in the Lok Sabha.




The central government is working hard to bring digital banking facilities to every corner of the country. For this, the Central Government is launching a special campaign on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India's independence. Accordingly, 75 digital banking units will be started in 75 districts of the country.



These units will be set up through Scheduled Commercial Banks. So that digital banking transactions will be possible in every corner of the country, said Nirmala Sitharaman. Nirmala Sitharaman also said that the central government will focus on increasing the use of user friendly and useful digital platforms.
