President Putin announces Russian resources' exchange with unfriendly countries only in Ruble

Since the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war, the battle is not only fought at the military front; rather, a fierce conflict and contradictions are witnessed at various other fronts. As the European Union has declined to buy crude oil and gas from its long-term partner Russia and decided to independent itself from the dependency of oil and gas from Russia, Putin has now announced that if the EU states were going to buy the Russian oil, they need to pay in Rubble. President Putin claimed, "I have decided to accept the payments from unfriendly countries in Ruble for oil and gas export."

The announcement was made in the background of the sudden sanctions imposed on Russia by the EU member states. President Putin's announcement has helped the Russian currency Ruble bolster from its plunged state since the onset of the Ukraine war and simultaneously boost against Dollar and Euro. President Putin has ordered the central banks to immediately implement the new payment system within a week with a "transparent apparatus" to track the purchase of the Russian Ruble in the domestic market.

Putin, in addition, claimed the futility of receiving payments in Euros and Dollars. He said, "Exporting the Russian material to EU, United States and exchanging the Russian resources with Dollars and Euros now makes no sense."

Besides the announcement made by President Putin, the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos on Wednesday announced its decision of accepting payment in Rubble from the international partners. Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said, "We will also accept and conclude all our agreement in Rubble."
