Omicron Variant may spread rapidly in England

The study said, 'Evidence suggests that SARS-CoV2 will spread rapidly in England due to the Omicron B.1.1.1.529 variant. If strict measures are not taken, then its cases will increase with more capacity than Alpha. This is being speculated because of Omicron's ability to spread rapidly and avoid immunity.

The Omicron variant has spread rapidly in Europe, particularly in the UK and Denmark. Although, there is currently no indication that it may cause more severe disease. According to all the data so far, the symptoms of this variant are mild as compared to Delta. But as its cases are increasing, it is being estimated that the number of patients admitted to hospitals may also increase. In India too, Omicron is expanding to many big cities. So far, more than 35 cases have been reported in the country.

According to British experts, this variant is going to become a big challenge for everyone in the coming times. According to data from South Africa and the UK, this variant may be more severe on children. Now the children who are coming here are seeing serious symptoms. They need oxygen, supportive therapy and a longer hospital stay. They are getting sick more than before. Whereas in all the previous variants of Corona, very mild or no symptoms were seen in children.

According to doctors in South Africa, the symptoms of Omicron can be different in everyone. But in young people, more fatigue, body pain and headache are its symptoms. At the same time, problems like high fever, persistent cough, fatigue, headache, sore throat and loss of appetite are occurring in children.

W.H.O is also constantly warning the whole world about the danger of this new variant. The W.H.O says that Omicron spreads very rapidly and has the potential to reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine. Current data suggest that Omicron does not cause any serious illness, but mild symptoms or asymptomatic cases are posing a different challenge. The W.H.O said that the current data suggests that the new variant may overtake the delta if there is community transmission
