Guwahati-Bikaner express derailed Big news: Horrific train accident in West Bengal


A terrible train accident has taken place in West Bengal. In this accident, 4 to 5 coaches of the express have derailed. It is feared that many people have died in this accident. Relief and rescue work is being carried out immediately. Meanwhile, the Railways has ordered a high-level inquiry into the matter.


A major accident has taken place at Jalpaiguri in West Bengal this evening when an express coach derailed at 5 pm. The Bikaner Express from Guwahati derailed at Mayagori near Domohani between Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri in North Bengal. A total of 12 coaches were severely damaged in the accident.

The exact number of people killed in the accident is not yet known. But due to the severity of the accident, many are feared to have died. Rescue operations have been launched at the spot. A large number of passengers were trapped in the overturned coaches and many were injured.



Train No. 15633 Bikaner Express left Bikaner in Rajasthan on Tuesday night. The train left Patna railway station at 5.44 am on Thursday and reached Kishanganj at 2 pm and left for Guwahati. Indian Railways has issued helpline number 8134054999. Many people have still trapped in the train and rescue operations are underway.

98 passengers had boarded this express from Patna railway station. 3 passengers had boarded from Mokama and 2 from Bakhtiyarpur, said the reservation officer in Patna.
