Shortest Wedding of UAE: According to a report of 'Khaleej Times', the Ministry of Justice of UAE has released the figures of 'divorce' which took place in UAE last year. According to these figures, in the year 2021, 648 divorce cases were registered in the UAE.

It is said that a new record has been set in the Muslim country in this regard. The case came from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On the second day of the marriage, after it was revealed that the couple had taken a break, many lost faith in their relationship. Therefore, this issue is under discussion. The case is known as the "shortest marriage" in the UAE.



According to a report in the Khaleej Times, the UAE Ministry of Justice has released figures on divorce cases in the UAE last year. According to these figures, in the year 2021, 648 divorce cases were registered in the UAE. The shortest marriage lasted only one day, while the longest marriage ended after 47 years. The couple, who were released after 47 years of marriage, were not originally from the UAE.



According to the figures, 311 divorce cases were against UAE couples and 194 against foreign couples. The 15 couples were women nationals of UAE and foreign nationals.

Courts have registered divorces in the cities of Shahr-e-Jah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain and the Emirate of Fujairah. According to the Ministry of Justice, the total number of marriages registered in these cities in 2021 was 4542.



According to officials, some of these marriages lasted from one day to 15 days. The couple had filed for divorce legally for various reasons before the marriage was over. Some couples have filed for divorce after 30 to 47 years of marriage.

Some of the reasons for divorce include betrayal of your spouse, extramarital affair, lack of preparation and commitment for marriage, lack of discussion, physical abuse, abuse, social media, getting rid of your responsibilities by one of the spouses.
