But now, China has claimed that it has mostly found signals from aliens. According to the Chinese government-sponsored Science and Technology Daily, China has said that its giant Sky Eye telescope may have intercepted or detected signals from aliens. Earlier, China published a report on the matter, but later it appeared that the report and the post had been deleted.

The report from China said they are different from the signals found earlier, and the team is investigating them further.

The report quotes Zhang Tonji, chief scientist of the Extraterrestrial Civilization Search Team, co-founded by Beijing Normal University with the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of California at Berkeley.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Science and Technology Daily But the news had already started trending on social networks and was picked up by other media. This included the Chinese government's media.

Sky Eye Research:

Sky Eye is the world's largest radio telescope in the southwestern Chinese province of Guizhou. The telescope is 500 meters (1,640 feet) in diameter. In September 2020, the Sky Eye telescope officially launched the search for outer life. While processing the information collected in 2019, the team found two sets of suspicious signals in 2020 and another in 2022 from observation data of exoplanet targets, Zhang said.

Zhang said that China's Sky Eye is extremely sensitive to low-frequency radio bands and plays a key role in the search for aliens. However, suspicious signals can also hinder some radio waves, which requires further investigation, he added.
