Berlin, 22 Feb: German govt. has taken actions to suspense the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said his government has taken this step in response to Russia's recognition of the independence of two regions in Ukraine.
As per AP, Chancellor Scholz made a statement in an interview that, "Now it's up to the international community to react to this one-sided, incomprehensible and unjustified action by Russian president".
Moscow has criticized the decision of Germany. Russian govt thinks this is a decision taken by Germany under the pressure of West.
It is mentionable that Germany is the largest gas importer of Russia.
