Ukraine claims heavy bombing in the eastern and southern areas

It is reported that Russian missiles and rockets have damaged major cities and towns in eastern and southern Ukraine. The local governor of Donetsk, Pavlo Kyrylenko, has said that four civilians have died in a strike on Siversk, a town in Donetsk.

Ukrainian officials have reported that the Russian missiles have struck parts of Kharkiv in the north and Mykolaiv in the southern area. While the Ukrainian forces are fiercely defending Mykolaiv, a strategic river port on a key route to Odesa, as Odesa is Ukraine's major port, all exports happen in this region, the Russian navy is still preventing Ukraine from shipping grains out of Odesa.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime minister Iryana Vereshuchuk has urged the citizens to leave Russian-occupied parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in the south.

Intelligence updates from the UK military show that Moscow is moving its reserve forces from across the country to positions near Ukraine for future operations. Still, according to intelligence, Moscow's reinforcements are "ad hoc Groupings, deploying with obsolete or inappropriate equipment."

Moscow's defense ministry has said its forces have successfully destroyed a hanger storing US M777 howitzers in Chasiv Yar, near Kramatorsk, and the cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk are expected to be Russia's next major target in the Donetsk region.

The US is supplying four more high-precision rocket systems to Kyiv. President Vladimir Zelensky has said that the HIMARS rockets are being used to hit ammunition depots and warehouses in Russian-held territory, making Moscow's attempt to resupply much harder.
