McConaughey made an emotional plea to take action against guns during his speech at the White House

Actor Matthew McConaughey delivered an emotional speech at the White House press conference. He was narrating the stories of those who lost their lives in the recent elementary school shooting in Texas; he has urged to gain more gun control. During that press conference, he said that he and his wife Camila Alves had spent most of the past week with the families of those who lost their lives in the gun shooting incident. He also showed some pictures of their artwork and brought green colored shoes like that one girl who wore them daily to her school. Later, the shoes were used to identify her body as she lost her Life in the shooting.

He has said: You know what every one of these parents wanted, what they asked us for? What does every parent separately ask for? They wanted their children's dreams to continue, to accomplish something after they were gone. They want to make their loss of Life matter."

He also said that there was a "window of opportunity" to enact "meaningful gun legislative reform'' and he also called for universal background checks, raising the minimum age of gun purchase of A.R., which currently is 15, should be increased to 21. The waiting period for this gun should be increased.

He gave a speech that lasted for around 20 minutes, "these are reasonable, practical, tactical regulations that are needed for our nation, states and communities, schools and homes. Some irresponsible gun owners have hijacked and damaged the Second Amendment."

Will this emotional appeal bring an environment favorable to Anti-gun laws in America?
