He was brought to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Jhunjhunwala was discharged from the hospital 2-3 weeks ago. Breach Candy Hospital has confirmed the death of veteran businessman Jhunjhunwala. Today at 6.45 am, the hospital confirmed the death of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. After making money from the stock market, Big Bull also entered the airline sector. He had made a massive investment in the new airline company Akasa Air, and on 7 August, the company started operations.

He is survived by his wife Rekha Jhunjhunwala, daughter Nishtha Jhunjhunwala, son Aryaman Jhunjhulwala, and son Aryavir Jhunjhunwala. These include companies like Titan, Tata Motors, Crisil, Aurobindo Pharma, Praj Industries, NCC, Aptech Limited, Ion Exchange, MCX, Fortis Healthcare, Lupine, VIP Industries, Geojit Financial Services, Rallis India, and Jubilant Life Sciences. According to the Forbes Billionaires list, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is currently the 440th richest person on the list of billionaires. Condoling his death, PM Modi wrote in a tweet, 'Rakesh has left behind an indelible contribution to the financial world, full of life, witty and insightful Jhunjhunwala was very passionate about India's progress.
