In the coming new year, the government will give booster dose to the people of India.

From January 10, the government will give a 'booster dose' of corona vaccine to the citizen of India, which is being called 'precaution dose'. Initially, the third dose of this vaccine will be administered to frontline workers, healthcare workers and elderly people above 60 years of age suffering from serious diseases. In such a situation, many big questions are also coming up like how long will the third dose take in the gap? What will be needed for the third dose? You will find answers to these questions in our today's report.

The first question of the people of India, in how much time will the third dose (booster dose) be taken?

So far no guidelines have been issued by the government on this question. However, sources say that there may be a gap of 9 to 12 months between the second and third doses. That is, from January 10, the third dose will be given to those who have taken the second dose between January and March this year.

Now let us tell which vaccine will be used for the third dose?

Experts say that the third dose should be of a different vaccine. For example, if the first two doses are of Covaccine, then the third dose should be of Covishield. Similarly, if the first two doses are of Covishield, then the third dose should be of Covaccine. However, there has been no talk of a mix vaccine from the government yet. Therefore, it is believed that the person who has received the first two doses of the vaccine, will be given the third dose of the same vaccine.

Question related to certificate of booster dose, will I get certificate of booster dose?

Let us tell you that just as the vaccination certificate has been issued after the first and second doses of the vaccine, in the same way a certificate of booster dose will also be available. Dr. RS Sharma has given this information.

Why was the decision to introduce a booster dose taken?

Scientists from all over the world have told that the immunity made against the corona vaccine starts decreasing after a few months. In such a situation, a booster dose of the vaccine is necessary. Its need has increased in the new Omicron variant of Corona, because the new variant is also making victims of the vaccinated. Because the elderly and healthcare-frontline workers are most at risk from corona, so the third dose is being applied to them.

Do you have a serious illness, but if your age is less than 60, then what can be done for the third dose?

Let us tell you that now the third dose will be administered only to frontline workers, healthcare workers and elderly people above 60 years of age suffering from serious diseases. If you have a serious illness but your age is less than 60 years, then you cannot take the third dose.
