According to German media reports, Bayern Munich has agreed to sign Dutch central defender Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus for a fee of 70 million euros.
Bild and Sport1 claimed an additional 10 million euros in bonuses would be paid after the fee for the 22-year-old.
Bayern will use the proceeds from the transfer of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski to help finance the transfer to Barcelona, estimated at more than €45 million. "It is true that we have discussed. De Ligt is a very interesting player," Bayern executive director Olivier Kahn told Bild over the weekend.
