Tamil actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth get divorced. The couple announced their separation on social media a few days back. “This was a journey of growth and understanding and now it is the time for them to part ways”, noted Dhanush and Aishwarya.
Aishwarya’s sister Soundarya changed her profile photo on Twitter after the news of their divorce, which had been a discussion now. Soundarya shared the profile photo of her father Rajinikanth holding her and Aishwarya as children. Several people expressed their support as comments below towards the picture posted. Most of the comments were like father’s daughters.
Dhanush and Aishwarya tied their knot in 2004 and have two sons together. Aishwarya, the eldest daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, is all set to make her debut as a playback singer. Deva’s music for the film Ramana was sung in 2000 but was not released. Aishwarya’s first release was in 2003 with the film ‘Whistle’. Aishwarya also made her directorial debut in 2012 with ‘3’ starring Dhanush. The separation of these starts created a massive shock among the fans.
“18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as couples and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this,” Dhanush said in the statement posted on his Twitter page. Aishwarya had shared a post on the separation with the caption, “No caption needed…only your understanding and your love necessary!” she signed off the post as Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
