Polish Plane Narrowly Avoids Collision with Russian Jet on EU Border Patrol

In a close call on Friday, a Polish border guard plane on patrol for the European Union's border agency Frontex narrowly avoided a collision with a Russian fighter jet near the Black Sea.
According to a spokesperson for the Polish border guard, the Russian SU-35 jet carried out "aggressive and dangerous manoeuvres" and approached the Polish aircraft without maintaining a safe distance, leading to turbulence, a temporary loss of control, and a loss of altitude by the Polish crew.
The incident occurred in international airspace near Romania, and the Polish crew estimated that the Russian jet crossed their trajectory at a dangerous distance of approximately five metres. After three approaches, the Russian jet finally flew away.
